Eslie: Salon owner, Hair designer, Fashionista

Eslie is a character doll for collectors age 8 and up. She is 18" tall.

Eslie will be part of an art gallery exhibit scheduled for March 1 - April 30, 2013. She is available for purchase but I hope her new owner will allow her to make her appearance for the duration of the exhibit.

Meet Eslie. She owns Salon Sovain in Chelsea, Michigan, the realization of her long-time dream to open a salon with her sister, Jessie. Style, and creating a positive self-image for others are Eslie’s passions. She  perfected her craft over nearly 20 years in high end salons in Las Vegas and Denver, but moved back to Michigan to be near her family. She’s busy connecting (and re-connecting) with the people in her community, establishing lasting professional relationships, and reaching an even greater sense of personal fulfillment. Eslie uses her hard-earned skills to create fashion-forward looks and optimal beauty for her clients.

How Eslie was made
Eslie’s body is made in the MakerDoll Medium Size, from 100% organic, undyed (“natural”) cotton fabric, grown and woven in the USA. Her arm joints are secured with vintage gold tone filigree buttons and cotton embroidery thread. Her clothes are handmade from repurposed silk, cotton and nylon. She’s wearing a handmade, MakerDoll design cotton stretch t-shirt and silk jacket. Her jeans are repurposed cotton spandex, and she sports a repurposed cotton woven belt with silver tone buckle and multicolored, riveted holes. Eslie’s facial features are handpainted with professional grade acrylic paints. Her hair is made of golden twisted yarn, hand-sewn onto her head.

Eslie can be purchased at StudioBeoGlas.etsy.com
